Presentation or E-Prime cable to BioSemi receiver ?
 

With this cable you can feed the triggers generated by Presentation or E-Prime to the BioSemi receiver.

Cedrus sells a USB to Parallel converter that is instantly compatible between the Presentation software of Mindware Technologies and the trigger inputs of the BioSemi USB receiver
 
How does the whole Presentation Trigger setup work?
The Presentation software needs a parallel port for outputting it's trigger signals, but most modern PC's and Laptops do not have a parallel port output anymore. Using a standard USB to parallel port converter cable does not work, because these converter cables are not detected correctly by the Presentation software. The only parallel ports which are detected correctly by the Presentation software are Parallel ports located on the motherboard of the PC/Laptop and PCI card based Parallel ports. The Presentation software is also able to output the triggers (with a good timing) to either the Cedrus Stimtracker or to the National Instruments card USB6501. At the moment the USB6501 solution is sold by Cortech Solutions and Neurospec. At the moment (04-01-2016) Biosemi is busy integrating the USB6501 in a USB receiver box, this product will be available later this year.
So, the Presentation triggers can be output at the following ways:
- Install PCI based Parallel port. Most cheap and easy solution. Not for Laptops.
- Cedrus Stimtracker
- National instruments USB 6501.

When you have the trigger outputs working, these trigger signals should be input to the BioSemi USB receiver. This can be done with the Presentation parallel cable sold by Biosemi.
The triggers are fed into the Trigger input connector at the back of the Biosemi USB receiver. The trigger input connector is sampled simultaneously with the EEG data, so there is virtually no delay.
