Can I use BioSemi active electrodes with my existing amplifier ?

No, the BioSemi active electrodes and accompanying acquisition (the ActiveTwo system) are designed as an integral system. The input stage of the A/D box is matched with the output of the active electrodes, the supply voltages and currents are matched, and additional safety circuits are added (there are supply voltages very near the subjects skin !). In tests we found that the compatibility between the BioSemi active electrodes and the amplifier is quite critical. For example, we tried the electrodes on our older Mark-6 systems with disappointing results. To summarize: our active electrodes can only be used in combination with our ActiveTwo acquisition system. We only sell the electrodes separately to ActiveTwo users.
