What kind of input protection do the BioSemi active electrodes have ?
The BioSemi active electrodes are fully protected against "electro static discharge". No special precautions during handling of the electrodes is necessary. The ActiveTwo, Active2.5 and the Active3 systems are also fully protected against TMS pulses.
What are reasonable electrical and magnetic levels for an EEG measurement?
The AC (1Hz - 1 kHz) electrical field strength at the subject location should preferable be less than approx. 10 V/m.
The AC (1Hz - 1 kHz) magnetic field strength at the subject location should preferable be less than approx. 0.1 uT.
